Since the discovery of Lime by a group of teachers in the state of Texas, they have become some of our biggest advocates. These educators have helped us understand the importance of new and improved educational technology, and introduced us to a large group of teachers who are thirsty for better ways to enhance the learning environments in their classrooms. We are starting to see the impact Lime could have in educational institutions across the globe. The specific teachers that have been using it thus far are mainly working with k-6 kids. Things like grammar, punctuation correction, and math problems are some of the key ways they have been using Lime. They have also seen future uses for Lime for things like peer classwork revisions and distance learning from experts.
Travel is a necessity for a large portion of jobs in corporate America. In 2014 there were an estimated 451.6 million business trips taken in the U.S. alone. The number rises for 2015 at a forecasted 459.2 million business trips that will take place this year. For those of you who have to travel for your job, whether it is for business meetings, for relationship building purposes, or field technicians who are sent solely for troubleshooting- do you wish you were not having to travel, or at least as much as you currently do?
Smart watches, glasses and fitness bands accumulated approximately $3 billion in sales at the close of 2014. The popularity of wearables is continuously growing, and we are going to see more companies join the stampede and bring new devices to the market.
The single most important feature to Lime is the ability to create a network. We created Lime to connect friends, family, colleagues...and maybe people who are meeting for the first time. In order to do this, users need to create and grow their network base. Think about when you use a social media outlet, like Facebook or Twitter. It would be completely useless without connecting and engaging with others. Your sole purpose for those sites are to connect with other people, and the same goes for Lime. We want all of our users to take full advantage of our technology and grow their network to share this with as many others as possible.
Educators will always be looking for new tools to enhance their students’ learning experience. Technology has created advanced visual teaching tools that have changed the way the world’s visual and kinesthetic learners are educated. With these types of learners comprising 70% of the population, it is important for these tools to constantly be updated and advancing forward. Collaborative learning through video conferencing is a great tool for not only teaching students, but truly engaging them.

Technology has changed the way that human interaction regularly takes place. It will constantly change as new ways of communicating are introduced to us. I am sitting here wondering how my everyday communication routine (I know, right?...sad) with certain people in my life would take place 20 years ago. I would maybe make a few phone calls a day on my oversized cell phone that weighed 5 pounds, and probably have a few more face-to-face conversations. But now we have the capability to instantly connect multiple people at any given point that we desire. I can keep up with friends from highschool and college that I rarely get to see or the ones that live states away. Distance is only something that disrupts in person face-to-face communication, but we are left with tons of other options.
Technology will constantly change the working world, but is it starting to shrink it? Think of what the business setting used to be like 20 years ago. In-person meetings were essential and also traveling to meet with clients. Land lines were one of the only hopes of communicating, and if you were out of the office, it was almost impossible to connect with coworkers and clients until you returned. Ten years later we see cell phones and email revolutionize the business world and create mobile ability for companies. But now we have come even farther than that.
